Siblings Cohort Analysis 2023

10 July 2023

In this analysis, we add up the school cohort (estimated population from P1 to P6) vs the number of siblings who took up a spot in Phase 1. The higher the % would mean more parents are sending the sibling to the same school.

Parents who have children currently studying in the school know the school best, therefore they can make better decision for the sibling. ie. If the school is good, send the sibling; if it is bad, give up Phase 1.

Of course, there are other factors affecting the numbers eg. new residential development in the area.

To be coherent with the analysis, we have divided the schools into 3 categories:

  1. Single-gender schools
  2. New schools
  3. The rest of the schools
