My kid’s been taking this online math class, and she actually looks forward to it. That alone made it worth sharing.
It’s called 豌豆思维 (Wandou), an online math and logical thinking class for kids aged 3 to 12. It costs just $10+ per lesson, and you can choose English, Chinese, or Cantonese.

They use something called the CPA approach (Concrete → Pictorial → Abstract). Kids first see and interact with real objects, then visualize them as pictures, then understand the abstract concept.
Sounds fancy, but in practice it just means the lessons feel like play. Lots of animations, interactive games, and quizzes. My daughter doesn’t even realise she’s doing math half the time.
Students are grouped by ability after a simple assessment:
So your kid isn’t just thrown into a class by age. They actually place them where they’ll learn the most.
You can pick from 3 languages: English, Chinese, or Cantonese (they serve Hong Kong too).
We chose English for Jade. Her teacher is Chinese, but her English is very good. No issues at all.
They also have an online art class (Chinese only) from the same provider, if your kid’s into that.
Jade genuinely enjoys the sessions and really likes her teacher. If you want a math class that’s fun and builds a strong foundation, it’s worth trying.
